1 lb ground chicken
½ c panko breadcrumbs
¼ c mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ c pecorino romano cheese, grated (sub Parmesan)
2 garlic cloves, fresh grated
2 tbsp parsley, flat leaf chopped
1 egg
2 tsp Blackstone Tuscan Herb (or Tutto Italiano)
pinch salt & pepper
16 oz marinara sauce
¼ c mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ c pecorino romano cheese, grated
Basil for garnish
Olive Oil for frying
Preparation
Step 1 - Preheat Pizza oven to 400 degrees. In a large mixing bowl mix together all the meatball mixture ingredients.
Step 2 - Add olive oil to your Blackstone Cast Iron Deep Dish (about ¼ c) using your hand to coat evenly and up the sides. Roll out 12 meatballs and add them to your dish.
Step 3 - Place meatballs in the pizza oven until toasty on top, about 5 minutes) then remove and pour over marinara sauce. Add more shredded mozzarella over the top and Pecorino Romano then add meatballs back into the airfryer. Allow to cook 5-10 more minutes until bubbly hot and cheese is melted.
Step 4 - Remove, garnish with more Pecorino Romano cheese and fresh chopped basil! Enjoy!
